Hello :) My name is Crystal; I'm 19 years old, currently trying to navigate my future and I can't wait to share my experiences with all of you. Well those who are willing to read my thoughts, opinions, and stories. Let's not forget the occasional rants here and there.
I was watching youtube the other day (by other day I mean literally everyday) and I came across a new video by Connor Franta in my subscriptions. It was called "That Type Of Person"; originally I thought it would be another one of his comedy sketches, but it was actually a tag video. He asks a set of 38 questions and well we all know by now that I love to answer things :D so I decided it would be a nice little post. 1.Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner Lunch. As bad as it is breakfast just doesn't sit well with me and dinner well I just don't like waiting until the afternoon to eat haha.
2.Do you drink your cereal milk?
No, I've mentioned before that I'm a tad bit lactose and tolerant so I don't often eat cereal to begin with but if I do then I usually throw the milk away. I know, I know it's bad and I feel so bad doing it but I'm not going to drink it (mainly because I don't like milk) and I don't think anyone else will so it's the only thing to do.
3.Cds, Radio or Phone?
Phone! because it's like a CD and Radio all in one. And you get to plug it into your car and Jam out to your favorite songs :'D
4.Window or Aisle?
I've never been on an airplane before but I have been on a bus. I usually prefer the window seat because I like to look out. Although I do have the bladder of a squirrel so if ever on an airplane I think I'd take the aisle seat if I am not sitting near family or friends.
5.Fold or Crumple?
Crumple. I ain't got time for that.
6.Shampoo then body wash or Body wash then shampoo?
I don't know if there is a proven method here but I just do body wash then shampoo because that's just the way I've always done it.
7.Stressed or Relaxed?
I'm usually a really stressed out person because I tend to pay too much attention to detail and carry way more then I can handle, but preference wise I obviously prefer relaxed.
8.Patient or Impatient?
I am a very impatient person.
9.Schedule or Go with the flow?
I like having a schedule because I love me a good list to cross things off of, but sometimes I just get so lazy and just go with the flow. Then I panic because I have no control over anything and end up being very disorganized.
10.When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
As most kids, I wanted to be a Vet because I thought it was all rainbows and butterflies. Then after taking my pet to the Vet for the first time I realized the harsh - harsh truth.
11.Prankster or not?
Not, mainly because I've never really tried to pull off a really good prank. I just kind of do lame things like pretend to prank someone by telling them an obvious lie and laugh because they fell for it. Also, I'd just feel so bad if anything went wrong.
12.Dresseed up or Dressed down?
Dressed down. I just really like to feel comfortable. I prefer to wear band t-shirts and oversized t-shirts over dresses any day. Although, I do love to dress up here and then.
13.Favorite clothing item?
Band t-shirts (even though I only own 1, but one day I will own plenty!)
14.What instrument would you play?
I would love to play the guitar, piano, violin, drums, and chello (after watching If I Stay, that passion though).
15.East or West?
West because that's the side I live on :D #reppin'
16.London or LA?
Agh! How can I chose! I want to live in both one day. Let's pretend this is an answer within itself; London and LA.
Christmas. As cliche as it is, but it's just such a nice time of year.
18.How big is your bed?
Twin XL, dorm life.
19.Do you sleep with the doors open or close?
I prefer the door close. Something about looking out into the hallway scares me.
20.Sheets tucked in or out?
Out! It get's way too hot, but I still get cold so I like to feel all covered up and protected.
21.Have you ever stolen anything?
I've never stolen anything per-say but when I was little I thought I was stealing every time I took some of the paint color samples from Walmart or Home Depot. I would just hope that the alarm wouldn't go off on me.
22.Tattoos or piercings?
Personally, neither because I'm just scared of needles in general. I do plan to one day possibly get a tattoo but we'll just have to wait and see.
23.Do you smile in every photo?
I do. It's so creepy though, I feel like by the time they take the photo I just end up looking like a creepy doll.
24.Have you ever pee'd in the woods?
I've never been in the woods.
25.Concert or theme park?
Concert! because I have yet to experience one!
26.Music or books?
Music, I'm just more of an audio and visual person. Plus, where would we be without music!?
27.Animated or reality?
Reality, it makes it feel more real to me.
28.Letter or email?
Email for formal purposes but nothing beats receiving a letter from someone who took the time to write to you.
I haven't been to one yet :'( For my first concert I would either like to go to a One Direction, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, or Imagine Dragons concert.
30.Do you own a record player?
No, but I wish I did! I'm planning to save up my money and buy one soon (hopefully)
31.Do you speak any different languages?
I speak both English and Spanish fluently.
32.Sweet or Savory?
Sweet. That sweet tooth has some huge craving let me just tell you.
33.Can you curl your tongue?
Yes *attempts to do so*
34.Can you touch the tip of your nose with your tongue?
No, but I'd like to see someone try :0
35.Can you whistle?
36.Have you ever won a spelling bee?
I've never been in a spelling bee, my spelling abilities were just way too awesome for that type of competition.
37.Do you believe in ghost?
I believe that they are but I've never experienced an encounter before, nor do I ever want to. At the same time I kind of want to just to see if it is real, but I really really don't want to.
38.Do you believe in aliens?
I do not think that we are the only people/beings living in the entire galaxy.
There you have it :D my long winded answers for short answer questions haha. I hope you guys enjoyed reading them and feel free to answer any of them below :)
The one's I'm most interested to hear about from you are "Do you believe in ghost and Do you believe in Aliens"? Let's discuss below shall we? :D
"It's not the load that breaks you down, It's the way you carry it." - Lou Holtz
This Month my playlist is titled Blue because this month has been very stressful and overwhelming for me. I feel like I have been very stressed out emotionally and mentally but at the same time I have been able to find serenity and happiness within myself. Music is just great! You can literally find a song to match any emotion that you are feeling. Even when you want to feel different from what you are experiencing, there are songs to help you do just so. So this month music has been so great to me, but then again it always is ;D
Okay, so if you remember from last month I also mentioned the song Savage by Marina and The Diamonds. This album is pure perfection! I just love the passion that Marina sings with. I can't help but sing my heart out whenever I sing along to Marina and The Diamonds. This month I have 3 songs by her that I have had on non-stop replay.
This song was recommended to me by a friend. I instantly fell in love *crying face emoji* This song completely summarizes everything that I feel, and I'm sure many of you can relate to as well. So I recommend this song to all of you. It's so beautiful and whimsical and every time I listen to it I want to cry. Someone once told me to imagine a safe place, a place that you can go to whenever you feel anxious or afraid. My place was in a beautiful green field covered by flowers. I imagine myself standing at the top of a hill and the wind blows through my hair. There is peace and quiet and the cool breeze keeps me calm. It's better imagined then explained, but it's my little place that I like to go whenever I need it. So if you are ever feeling anxious, upset, afraid, or just need to relax; try to imagine a safe place that you can go to simply by closing your eyes or through meditation.
IDK. IDK? why do I like this song? I will never know, but I just want to dance to it whenever it comes on. I mean do I need any other reason? haha. By the way if you haven't noticed, I'm so pleased with myself for making this song number 4 ;D
I honestly think that this song is the one. I don't ever want it to stop playing in my head. It's so calming and ah! how can I even describe how good this song is?! Please, listen to it. It just makes me want to run through a field into the arms of my husband. That is when I have one. For now, I'll just let my dog run into my arms and we can slowly spin as the song plays in the background. Romantic right?
Do I even have to give an explanation for this song? I'm just going to sit here and cry and hope that you guys listen to it if you haven't. Don't worry if you haven't seen the movie, I haven't either but the song speaks for itself. (P.s. I did it again)
I will end with a good dance song. So that we can celebrate the end of this post together. I think this would be really cool if we could all just magically appear in a tropical area and just do a conga line across the beach.
I hope you guys enjoy these song recommendations :) Let me know what you guys have been listening to lately or if you guys have any recommendations for me.
" Music helps me escape from the reality I live in"
I was tagged by Jess to do the Furry Friend Tag. So let's get right into it, shall we?
1. What is your pet's name?
My dog's name is Daisy (Daisy Dukes just for fun). I was going to talk about both Daisy and Brandy, but Brandy is more of my sisters dogs. But you'll still see plenty of her on here :)
2. What kind of pet is it and what breed?
Daisy is a little bunny (okay so you can see that she isn't, but sometimes she runs like one and it's just so cute!!) To be honest, I really do not know what breed she is.She was given to me by my uncle but he never gave me any history on her. I'm pretty sure she has some chihuahua in her though.
3. How long have you had your pet friend?
I've had Daisy for about 5 to 6 years. By "about" I do not mean that I am a horrible owner and do not even know my dogs age, but like I said my uncle just gave her to us without any history of her so I do not know her technical age, I'm just going off of a video that my sister and I made with her when we first got her.
But please don't judge me, I already feel bad enough as is , because I don't know her birthday :'(
4. How did you get your pet?
So everyone knows that I LOVE DOGS!! It's honestly to the point where I kind of prefer and get more emotionally attached to dogs then I do to people. This being the case, my uncle took full advantage of this occasion. One of his dogs had just given birth and when we were around visiting my great grandma one day, he told us to go over and see the new baby puppies! Fellow dog lovers, you know how irresistible this can be! I had also just recently lost my puppy who I was very attached to so I wasn't really feeling it. My little sisters went crazy over the idea and so my uncle basically said that one of the dogs was ours. We left and when we came back a couple weeks later he practically threw the dog at us (not literally, that would be horrible 0.0). I couldn't say no and so we took her. She was so cute and once I held her I knew I wouldn't be able to let go. I think what brought us closer together was the warmth of her pee. Yup! she peed on me when I grabbed her haha but I couldn't stay mad at her though.
5. How old is your pet?
I want to say she is 5 to 6 years old.
6. What are some quirky things about your pets personality?
Whenever we get home after leaving for a while, she goes crazy (as do many dogs) but it's just so cute. She'll run around the house barking as loud as she can and runs to get her toys because she just gets so excited she doesn't know what to do with herself. She also does this thing whenever there is food where she jumps on her hind legs as she tries to get your attention so that you know she is around. Also if someone pretends to hit me, she'll attack them as if they were trying to kill me. It's so cute! OMG! and don't even get me started on her strut! That girl can shake her little booty.
7.What does your relationship with your pet mean to you?
Daisy, is honestly my bestest friend. She's always there for me. She means so much to me and I honestly don't ever want to imagine life without her. We've been through a lot together, both on her part and my part. We are like two peas in a pod. I protect her and she protects me.I don't know how its possible, but she gives the best hugs out there. Okay i'm gonna stop talking about this because I'm gonna cry any second now.
8. What are some of your favorite past times with your pet?
I just love being able to lay down and reach down to pet her. She's usually by my side, it's always nice because she's like my little guardian. I also love petting her chin and neck! Okay I do not know what it is, but dog's chins are so soft and it just melts my heart when I pet them under their little chins! I know it sounds weird but I'm not gonna lie here it's just so adorable watching them enjoy it, it's like their getting a massage.
9.What are nicknames that you call your pet?
I honestly have so many nick names for her. I'll call her Dizzy, bebita, tiquita, chiquita, pesosa (most terms are in spanish but like slang spanish where i just leave out some letters)
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this :) and feel free to answer any of these questions about your pet :D I'd love to read them.
I tag, my friend Maxie to do this post. Also Thank you so much Jess for tagging me :)
" A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than it loves itself"
Okay okay okay okay okay! So I'm clearly at a loss for words. I could just be completely exaggerating all of this. But this movie was honestly so good! I've mentioned to you guys before that I LOVE Drama's. That includes movies that can be completely boring to other people, BUT so freaking interesting to me! I'm honestly pounding the keys on my keyboard. I feel like I'm writing a strongly worded letter to someone that is really getting no where.
Anyways! I skipped over this movie for a while now. It was on Netflix, and it seemed a bit interesting but even sometimes when movies seem interesting I don't get around to watching them for a while. Mainly because I feel like I like to keep that little mystery going, you know where you just have a perceived idea of what it will be like. I feel like once I watch it, I won't be able to watch it all over again for the first time with no idea of what is going to happen or the emotions that I experienced in the first place. This happened to me with Safe Haven, and If I Stay, and Guess Who, and The Duff, and basically the list can go on!
So this movie is basically about a girl who wants to take a year off from college. Mainly because she did not feel that it was for her and maybe she could use the time to kind of get to know herself better; As many people do. Her true intention though was so that she could keep her on going relationship with an older man who had a girlfriend. She also had a boyfriend, and both agreed to keep it a secret from both their partners. (Okay so it's going to be one of those movies!?) After one of their sexual encounters, he told her that he found a house closer to the college where he worked at. I forgot to mention that this guy was a film theorist professor at a local college (i'm guessing). Of course she became upset by this and told him that this would be really hard on them. He (haven't heard this before) told her that they would make it work.
Let's go back in time a little bit. When Katie told her mother about wanting to take some time off of school, her mom made her talk to her principle (i think she was). Her principle suggested that she starts a blog. At first Katie thinks its a stupid idea, but eventually she comes around to it. She mainly is doing the blog for her own satisfaction, because she clearly does not take any crap from her readers. She's also not constant she just kind of writes when she pleases. The thing that she mainly writes about is her sexual adventures as a teen. You know, talks about her boyfriend problems, and her older men troubles.
So it turns out that Katie had her reasons for why she did what she did. It's something that she realizes throughout the movie. She comes to the realization that as a child she was molested by her next door neighbor. She didn't really think too much about the situation until her friend talks to her about it. She said that it could be considered molestation , but that it kind of felt good to her. So this is where it kind of starts to get crazy. She comes to the conclusion that maybe this next door neighbor made her interested in older men. She can't help herself. Now Katie had a history of suicidal thoughts, because at one point in her life she was threatening to jump from a window because the life guard (older guy) that she had a crush on didn't feel the same way for her.
This whole movie kind of really kept me on edge. I'm just going to skip over to the end so that I don't ruin the entire movie. But keep in mind I will ruin the end (muhahaha, okay I just, thats the part I've been wanting to talk about). SO in the end you kind of think that this will have some what of a resolved ending, BUT NO! They close with a scene where "the real" Katie's mom is asking Katie's online following to help her find Katie. Apparently Katie goes missing but no one knows what happens. Her mom hired a private investigator to question everyone in Katie's life, but everyone denied certain parts of what Katie claimed to happen. So this got me thinking; is this based on a true story? I googled it, but i kept finding that it wasn't. Clearly this is all still a fictional story (based off the book called Undiscovered Gyrl; which by the way is the name of Katie's blog). In the end clip, none of the people look like the people that were in the actual story. This got me thinking, what if Katie made it all up? at least told the story differently. You know like she made the characters more "attractive" and exaggerated her story to make it more interesting. And the entire time we are watching the story through her blog (if that makes any sense).
I was kind of all over the place here, I realize that now. Hopefully I've made you interested though, and now you'll hopefully watch it so that we can discuss it!? ... I also really hope that they come up with a sequel to this, they can base it off of the story when they are trying to find her. I just really want answers! They can't do this me! They can't just leave me hanging like that, I need to feel resolved! This will forever haunt me.
If you've seen the movie or read the book and have answers. Please, Please, Please let me know!
One thing that I love most in the world is watching videos that leave you with a lasting impression. Whether it be that it makes you sad and want to analyze things or if it makes you uncontrollably smile. Here are some of the latest videos that I have watched that I can't stop thinking about.
This video is really life changing. Personally, I am so guilty of leaving the tap water running. I tend to think that I'm not wasting that much water, when in reality all that water that is going to waste can be used to provide for others. As you can see in the video; within the time that the man spends brushing his teeth, the water was able to provide a cup of water for one man, a bowl of water for another man, enough water for a man to rinse off his fruit and make it safer for him to eat, and enough for a little girl to desperately try to quench her thirst. As the video states; by leaving the water running you end up wasting up to about 10 liters of water which in most cases, is more then most people have in a month. So remember to always turn the water off whenever it is not in use. Those small amounts of water that you save can help conserve the water and in the future provide for more people. I think it's time videos like these get more attention so that we can start making a change for the better.
I think what I love most about this video is how relatable it is. Most of us are insecure about ourselves and it only becomes noticeable to others when we are put in situations that make us feel unsure of ourselves. In this case the woman had to choose between entering through a beautiful door or an average door. This really caught the woman off guard because they did not expect that. Most of them went in through the average door mainly because they assumed people would judge them based on their decision. They felt that maybe people would not agree with their choice if they went in through the beautiful door. One woman completely avoided entering through the doors. Some women didn't think twice about it and went in completely confident entering through the beautiful door. What I loved about those women is that they honestly felt beautiful because they believed that they were. They didn't let society sway their feelings towards themselves. Afterwards the women were asked how they felt and most of them regretted going in through the average door. Most of the women did think that they were beautiful, but the pressure of societies perception of them made them feel insecure. It's important that woman realize that no matter what anyone tells you, you are absolutely beautiful. As long as you believe that you are beautiful, you will not need anyone else's reassurance. We should learn to build ourselves up and walk with pride. Everyone has something beautiful about them; we just fail to see it because thats what society has taught us. So from now on, screw society and love who you are. You are beautiful just the way you are. It may not be easy to just completely stop feeling insecure, because well everyone feels insecure at some point and in most cases all of the time; but whats important is that you start accepting your insecurities and love them for making you unique. Let's face it, if we all looked the same, the world would be a very boring place. I mean we wouldn't have all those different beautiful people to look at. Start living your life and stop worrying about what others will think. ♥
This last video is just so adorable! If any of you are familiar with ItsJudyTime, then you have probably seen this. If not well then what are you waiting for? press play! This video is; as it states, an interview with 2 year old Juliana. She is asked several questions about her family and her answers are well just adorable! I don't really have much to say for this one other then that it's just a really cute video! and it definitely made me giggle :) So I wanted to share it with you guys.
What did you guys think of the videos? Any videos that you guys think I should see?

Anyways my actual reason for this post is just to give you guys a little update. Specifically for any new comers. Hello :) and to any of you that have stayed loyal :') <3. If you're wondering why my update schedule is all over the place, it's because I don't really have a schedule. If I could I would honestly post everyday, but sometimes I just don't have time or I don't know what to write about. That's the fun part though. You see, wouldn't you rather have content that I'm excited to talk about verses a structured post schedule that I feel obligated to write. Nah, we don't want that. So, all I can promise you is that you can expect a post a week and if not more per week. I really enjoy blogging and am constantly thinking of things to write about. I like sharing, and I hope you guys like reading what I have to say. So without any further a do (I don't really have anything to say I just really wanted to say that).
I could say that I'm really busy with school work but who am I kidding I spend most of my time on youtube, Netflix, and reading other people's blog. I think that when I am busy with school work, that's when I get inspired and get the sudden urge to blog haha. So maybe procrastination is my inspiration. Now if I could only use that towards school work; that would be great brain. The good thing though is that I only have about a month left until school ends. Which means I'll have more free time to do nothing and hopefully start doing things I actually want to do. Like start a youtube channel, get a job, go to the gym, and do fun things! Hopefully, I can do a lot more this summer so that I can finally have something fun to write and talk about. Especially, so that when professors make us introduce ourselves to the rest of the class, I'll have something interesting to say.
Okay so now I'm just getting off topic (typical). I just wanted to give you guys a little update that actually wasn't an update. It was more of me just wanting to talk to you guys. If you have any questions that you would like me to answer or any posts that you would like me to do feel free to leave comments on any post :).
Are you guys almost out of school? Any plans for the summer?

Recently, I did a post about some of my favorite movies. So now I shall talk about some of my favorite TV shows. I know what you're thinking; Crystal, is this all you ever do? Yes, I spend a lot of my time watching things that distract me form doing things I actually need to get done. Which is why I have decided to share them with you. Like with my favorite movies, not all of these will appeal to everyone but I suggest you give them a chance. I personally think these are all great. Since the list is kind of long, I'll just jump right into it and make my comments quick and to the point (which you should know by now, I actually can't do quick and to the point comments)
1. Pretty Little Liars
Do I even need to talk about this show? I think a lot of people have most likely heard of it before but if you haven't then I honestly recommend it to you! I feel like this gets better the more you watch it. I think with this one you can either love it or hate it. What I like most about this show is the mystery. Although I really want to find out who A is (no spoilers) I also don't want the show to end. You really get attached to the characters (speaking from personal experience).
2. The Fosters
Okay, so I personally really love dramas. I just like the story lines that they have and they just really keep me intrigued. I love the diversity in this show! You have a two strong beautiful woman (Stef and Lina) raising 5 children. 4 of them have been taken into their home from foster care and 1 is the son of Stef. Recently, 2 of the kids who they have taken into their care are in the process of being adopted but they have to deal with all the drama that comes in between.
3. Switched at Birth
I think that you can either love or hate this show. I've been told on many occasions that people didn't like it or that they started watching but lost interest in it. I personally really like it though. I think it's a good show that doesn't really deal with murder and death like many of the other shows. It's just kind of a nice sit down tv show to watch and enjoy. Of course, it is a drama so expect A LOT of drama.
4. The Lying Game
This show is amazing! I don't know why!? they canceled it. It's kind of like pretty little liars; it can be similar, but it's also very different. I really want to say that it's better then pretty little liars but I think they're just equally as good. This show took over my life. This show is about two twin sisters who were separated at birth. One finds out about it and decides to go look for her sister. One sister (Sutton) gets to live a luxurious life while her sister (Emma) was placed in foster care. Once they find out about each other, they decide to switch places (for reasons I cannot tell you without ruining the story! so go watch it!)
5. Baby Daddy
I love this show! At first I kind of hesitated to watch it because of the title, I thought it would be a different type of show. I gave it a shot and I instantly fell in love with it. It's about a guy who is a "lady's man" and is always trying to hit on woman. One day he hears a knock on the door and to his surprise he finds a baby. He realizes that the baby is his and now he has to raise a child with the help of his mom, brother, and two best friends.
6. Melissa & Joey
I fell in love with these two after watching "My Fake Fiance" I love that abc family decided to do an entire TV show about the two. I also kind of like that they don't go off of what happens in the movie. They kind of just start off new. This show is about a city council woman (Mel) who is raising her sister's children after both her sister and her sisters husband where put in jail. She eventually hires a nanny (Joey) to help her around the house. Okay let's get to the point, you'll ship these two so hard!
7. Life Unexpected
I just love this show. I can't really tell you why, because I don't even know why but I just do! This show is about a girl (Lux) who was in foster care for most of her life until she find out who her real parents are. She decides to go look for them. Her birth mom (Cate) is a famous local radio personality and her father (Baze) is the owner of a bar. Her father actually did not know that he had a kid so it was harder on him to process it, but he took her in. Eventually Cate comes a long and decides to give the whole mother thing a try. The whole show is about trial and error and finding out about each other as it goes along. Lux is the more mature one to be honest which I love! because it's kind of like she's raising two parents.
8. New Girl
This show is pure gold! I really cannot do this show any justice. It's absolutely hilarious. The main character (Jess) is so quirky it's absolutely adorable. This show is about a woman (Jess) who recently broke up with her boyfriend. She was completely devastated and decided that she needed a new place to live. She goes on to look for a new home and comes across Nick, Schmidt, and Winston who are also looking for a new roommate. I'll let you find out the rest by watching it. I promise you - you will not regret it.
9. Once Upon a Time
This show was one of those shows that I just looked over when looking for something to watch. After my sister told me that she really liked it and hearing from my friends that they really liked it; I finally decided to give it a shot. This show touches on all of the fairy tales. They do such a good job recreating all the stories and the actors are phenomenal! It's mainly centered around the fairy tale Snow White. The story goes that the Witch (Regina) casted a spell on most of the enchanted forest with the help of rumplestiltskin (okay I honestly just love saying that name, You can't say it without sounding British. Okay so maybe you can but I'm just going to pretend for my sake that you can't.) Now all of the fairy tale characters have to live life in the real world. None of them know who they really are because they've been given a new identity. The town is protected by a powerful spell so no one in the town can go out and no one from outside of the town can get in. Expect for Emma. Dun dun dun, got you there huh, now you'll have to go watch it to find out more. I promise you! You will LOVE this show!!
10. Orange is the New Black
This show! Do I even need to say anything more about this show. I can't stress how good this show is. Every single character in this show plays an important part in the story. Piper, the main character, was once involved in a relationship with Alex who at the time was a drug dealer. Piper ended up helping Alex by transporting a suite case full of money; which made her involved in the drug deal. Eventually, Alex and many of the other drug dealers get caught and end up going to Jail. Piper, who thought that she wouldn't get in trouble also ended up having to go to jail. She was devastated that this came at a time when she felt really happy with her life. Now everything goes downhill from here. WATCH IT! please! Hold me accountable to it. I just love this show so much and I know that you will too.
11. The Carrie Diaries
This show is supposed to be a spin off (the early days) of Sex in the City. The show goes on to tell the story of Carrie before her Prime time. It mainly centers around her high school times and her entrance into the fashion world. This show is honestly too good for words. Sebastian (Austin Butler) by the way is so dreamy! Omg! really I cannot stress that enough. He will make your heart melt. I love that this show shows a lot of obstacles that these teens have to face as they enter the world of adult hood. Sadly, the show has ended but luckily they left us off with a good ending.
12. Bob's Burgers
Honestly, these types of show really piss me off. I don't know why but it's just something about the way that they are drawn or the type of comedy that they use that I just don't get. But I finally gave this show a chance and I have had a change of mind. This show is sooo funny! It's just the right amount of everything. Other shows usually use a lot of sexual references/comedy (which I'm not bothered by, but it's just too overboard for me to the point where I don't think it's funny anymore, just stupid). The youngest character (Louise) is so adorable! She's so sassy and independent, it's great. I suggest you give this show a watch.
13.Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Last but not least, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. This is one of the newer shows on Netflix. I instantly fell in love with it. At first I thought it would be a kids show, I mean come on look at the cover. I decided to watch it either way and I'm so glad that I did. This is now one of my favorites. It's so good! there is never a dull moment. I like the optimism in the show, I can't really explain it. You'll just have to watch it for yourself.
I don't really know where I was getting at with this post. Some have reviews, others just comments. Either way I hope that you got something out of it and now have some new shows to watch.
What do you like to watch on Netflix? Any recommendations? or have you seen any of these shows and share the same love for them as I do? Even if you hate some of these, let me know your opinions :)
"Netflix gives you 15 seconds between episodes to decide whether or not you're doing anything with your life today"
What better way to get to know someone then by playing 21 questions? Seriously, I love playing this game with people! Even people I already know, it's always fun getting to know someone on a more personal yet quirky level. So here are the questions that I have gathered from Tumblr. Sadly, we don't get to switch off and take turns asking each other questions, but feel free to answer any of the questions you find interest :)
1: Are you named after anyone?
Get your aww's ready. So before I was born my parents only had my older sister; Christina. When she found out that she was going to get a little sister; yours truly. She wanted them to name me just like her. My parents told her that they couldn't name me Christina like her so they came up with a name that was close to it. They came up with Crystal.
2: When was the last time you cried?
I tear up a lot but the last time I cried cried was probably last week. I was in-between feeling nostalgic and living in the past. Good and bad memories kept coming to me and well the bad one's got to me. I got through them and feel a lot better now :) Sometimes you just need to have a little cry and let it all out.
3: Do you have kids?
Noooooo. Maybe one day, but at the moment I'm not really ready for that. I'm really scared of the whole idea, but then I look at family's and see how happy they are and it makes me want to have one. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
4: If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?
I would! I think that I deserve to have a friend that cares for me as much as I care for them. SO YES i'd be my friend if I could. I also kind of really want to see how other people view me. Like you know who you are and all right? but not everyone see's you the same. Everyone has their own perception of you and I kind of want to meet me through the eyes of someone else you know?
5: Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Do I? Is that even a question? ....It's kind of bad. Sometimes I don't even notice that I do until I get yelled at by my parents for it. Oops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ haha
6: Will you ever bungee jump?
I mean I sure hope so. It's on my to do list.
7: What’s your favorite cereal?
I wish I loved cereal as much as the person next to me, but I don't. It just doesn't sit well with me, it turns my stomach upside down. Which is weird because I can still drink milk by itself (psst. I don't like milk by itself either, yuck!) or have milk and cookies. I guess the mix of artificial flavors with the milk get the lactose intolerant in me.
8: What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their facial expressions and body language. I know thats two but i feel like they kind of come hand in hand. If I get the feeling right away that a person doesn't like me, by the way they act when they meet me, I get very self-conscious. Which completely influences the way that I will respond to them. Either friendly or unsure of what to even do? Should I stay or should I go?
9: What’s your eye color?
10: Scary movie or happy endings?
I love both! but if I had to choose. Happy Endings, I'm such a sucker for movies that give me unrealistic expectations. You can't blame them though. They make me so happy and give me a better outlook on life. I mean if the ending is just left unresolved I come back unsure of what life even is? I like to see what doesn't happen in real life at least happen in a fictional world.
11: Favorite fragrant?
I have always loved the Halle Berry Orchid perfume. It comes in a little purple and clear bottle. It literally smells amazing and if I was to only wear one perfume for the rest of my life it would be that one. I would have also chose the Victoria Secret Very Sexy Touch fragrance but they discontinued it! whyyyyyy??? D':
12: Summer or Winter?
Winter! Summer is just too hot, at least here where I live. It gets up to about 120-130* What even is that!? Besides winter is nice because you get to wear cozy blankets and sweaters. AND CHRISTMAS!!!
13: Computer or TV?
Computer. Need I say more.
14: What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
The furthest would have to be New Mexico, it was a 12-13 Hour drive from where I live. I went for a leadership conference and it was so much fun! Seriously, if you ever get any opportunities take them!
15: Do you have any special talents?
NO :( I wish.
16: Where were you born?
17: What are your hobbies?
Let's see, I'm addicted to coca cola icee's (preferably with fine ice, seriously I'm addicted to that stuff). I watch a lot of youtube. Probably more then what is considered healthy. I now recently love posting on my blog :) I'm currently obsessed with That 70's Show. Waiting for all my other shows to get put online. I also waste a lot of my time planning things I never get around to doing. I also really like to edit and shoot videos but I don't have any content to work with.
18: Do you have any pets?
Yes! :D I have two. One is a labrador named Brandy looking sexier then me on that bench!
And this is Daisy. My little treasure. (I don't know what she is to be exact I know she has some chihuahua in her, but no she is not a mutt! don't you dare call her that)
19: What’s your favorite movie?
How does one even pick something? There are so many good films! So many I can't think of all of them and pick just one. But if your interested check out my must see movies post and you can see some of my recent and older favorites.
20: Do you have any siblings?
I have 3: Christina (the oldest), Zezilia (after me), and Brenda (the youngest).
21: What do u want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up I want to be famous, I want to be a star, I want to be in movies. Okay I did try to pull a joke there but it couldn't be further from the truth. My ultimate dream would be to be an actress. If that was possible. I do know though that I want to do something in the television and film industry. My dream job is to work for Ellen! I'd even just intern for her for free! or even just get her coffee. I would love to work for Warner Bros studios though. They have so many cool shows that they film and ahh idk I just love it! I would also like a job for nickelodeon. I mean come on they have the coolest gadgets and gizmos! Have you seen their awesome see through electronics! and their cool room designs!? It would also be pretty amazing to work for MTV or maybe even a magazine company like Cosmopolitan or Seventeen.
Your turn :D Feel free to answer any of the questions that you like or ask me any other questions?
